
No pets are permitted: Please leave your pup at home. We love him/her but the Department of Health says we are not permitted visiting pets.
Barn Cats: The black Cat is named Toothless, HE HAS TEETH AND CLAWS. He is a cat and will bite and scratch. Kids should not touch him. He is annoying and likes to tease kids.
Payment/Release Forms: Payment and release forms are required prior to the start of the lesson or package of lessons. Lessons are non-refundable. Hardships are by board approval only. Board meetings are held quarterly. Release forms need to be completed annually. We accept Checks, credit cards, and cash. We do not accept Venmo. CASH PAYMENTS MUST BE LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME. Credit cards are subject to 5% service fee. Returned checks are subject to $30 fee. Checks are payable to: Rising River Farm.
Cancellation: Lesson times and dates are pre-scheduled. If you cannot make your lesson, we allow lessons to be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Package lessons must be rescheduled within the package time (applicable calendar month).
Rescheduling: Re-scheduling for a vacation should be done ASAP, preferably with at least 2 weeks’ notice. Missed lessons are defined as a rider not showing up for a scheduled lesson, giving less than 24-hour notice of cancellation of a scheduled lesson, or arriving 10 minutes or more late for a scheduled lesson.
Missed Lessons: Missed lessons will be forfeit and be defined as being ineligible for refund or reschedule. If you are running late, text Jessica. We will get your horse ready so the lesson is not disrupted. Payment is required prior to your first lesson or the start of your package. Inclement weather may cause Rising River Farm to move class days. Failure to show up for a class due to inclement weather that has not changed days will be forfeit. If you are unsure feel free to text Jessica between 8:00 AM-8:00 PM. Rising River Farm reserves the right to dismiss any rider due to misconduct from rider, parent, or visitor. Riders dismissed due to misconduct are not subject to refund. It is the student’s responsibility to dress for the weather. If a student arrives without appropriate clothing for the weather, they may be dismissed for the day, in such instances the lesson will be forfeit.
Viewing Indoor Lessons: For the safety of visitors and participating students, visitors may not enter the barn while horses are in the aisle. Once the aisle is clear visitors may enter. The instructor will help guide visitors to the designated viewing area.
Viewing Outdoor Lesson: Visitors are welcome to watch outdoor lessons. Visitors are not to open gates, go under fences, or be in any animal enclosure. Visitors may not enter the barn while horses are in the aisle. This is for the safety of the visitor and participating students.
Children Not Participating in Lessons: Children must be attended at all times. Children are not permitted to enter animal enclosures or the horse barn. Play areas are off limits as it is disruptive and can be dangerous for our riders.
No outside treats. Please do not feed any animal anything. Treats are provided for the horses after their lesson..
